About the School
Mountain View Adventist Academy is one of two Secondary Schools operated by the Seventh-day Adventist church in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and one of 7,200 schools operated in the world. Last year the school celebrated its 50th anniversary under the theme "Challenges, Choices, Changes."
Located in the Marriaqua Valley, the school is committed to excellence. Its curriculum is comprehensive, encompassing "mental, physical, social and spiritual health, with intellectual growth and service to humanity as its goal."
In 2008 the school had a 60% pass in CXC results. Currently it has an enrollment of 276 students with 16 teachers and offers 21 subjects from which students can write 16 for external exams. It is among the top science schools in the island.

About the School
“To restore in man the image of his Maker, to bring him back to the perfection in which he was created, to promote the development of body, mind, and soul, that the divine purpose in his creation might be realized--this was to be the work of redemption. This is the object of education, the great object of life.” Education p. 15.
The Richland Park SDA Primary School was established in 1945. It is housed in the first floor of the Richland Park Church. Classes range from Kindergarten to Grade 6. There are eight members of staff. The entrance age is 5 years by April 30 of the current school year. School hours are 8:15 am to 3:00 pm Mondays to Thursdays and 8.15am to 12 noon on Fridays. The school’s population comprises students from the following areas: Golden Vale, Arnos Vale, Murray Village, Diamond, Mc Carthy, Glen, Calder, Belmont, Evesham, Riley, Collins, Mt. Pleasant, Fairburn, Yambou, Mespo, La Croix, Grieggs and Richland Park.
VISION: Our Vision is to continue to provide quality education that is distinctly different from that offered by secular institutions; and that our education confirms to modern trends and development, without compromising our philosophy.
The school is managed by a School Board, which comprises the District Pastor, as the Chairman; the First Elder of the Richland Park Church; the Church Treasurer; the Education Secretary, the Home and School Association Leader, the Principal, and two parents.
Some of our spiritual activities include: Daily Staff and Student Worship Sessions, AJY Society, two annual Weeks-of-Prayer, Baptismal Bible Class / Daily Bible periods, participation in witnessing / outreach programs, Ingathering and visits to the sick and shut ins in the community, Food basket distribution to SDA and Non-SDA.
