Posted: 19 Oct 2018
Paradise Seventh-day Adventist Church at Vermont, partnered with local hairstylists and barbers to provide free back-to-school hairstyles and haircuts for boys and girls of the community before the first day of the September 2018 school term. The event took place at the church on 2nd September 2018 and a total of forty-one children benefitted from the back-to-school treat.
The girls’ hair were washed, moisturized, and braided in various cute hairstyles. The boys received smart looking haircuts. The children were also treated to a sumptuous meal prepared by the Community Services Ministries of the church.
This event is the second of its kind for the year and was spare-headed by the Paradise Church Youth Department. Earlier in August, in partnership with the Bobb Family residing in Massachusetts, USA, the church had also distributed backpacks with school supplies to the children of the Vermont community.
The back-to-school treat is one of the many services offered to the community as Paradise celebrates its 80th anniversary in a year-long series of activities.Pastor and members of the Paradise Seventh-day Adventist Church take this opportunity to thank all parties involved in making the Back-to-School event a successful reality.
